Walt is a man with a very unique skill set, in that he has masterly level expertise in 3 distinct fields. You can hire a designer, an engineer, and a contractor, or you can just hire Walt. He’s the only professional engineer, unlimited general contractor and certified veteran owned project design business in the State of Alabama.
He’s worked in 30 states and 6 countries, yet after the birth of his first child and plans for #2 in the works, he decided to get off the road and focus on what’s most important, family. Having worked mostly large government contract work on a global scale since the inception, BES will have to enter our local construction market as virtually a new small business owner.
BES has gone from 120 employees completing worldwide projects to 12 employees focused on building a reputation for precise quality in Mobile and Baldwin County, Alabama. They have an impressive local resume, completing a wide array of projects, from commercial to residential.
His team was hired to build the Baldwin County Coliseum, the first FEMA Federal Emergency Management Agency shelter in the state rated to withstand an EF5 tornado strike. The shelter can accomodate up to 5,000 people show-term in the event of tornado or hurricane and up to 1,900 people long-term.
BES collaborated with renowned local architect, Craig Roberts on a 10 million dollar estate on Cody Road in Mobile, Alabama. Their renovation work on 115 Fels Avenue in the City of Fairhope was recognized as the 2012 Design Build by the Home Builders Association of Alabama.
As a former U.S. Army officer, Walt is committed to two things, deadlines and precision. At the first consultation, he’ll ask you “What’s your budget and your timeline?” You see, Walt’s the buy you hire if you want military style precision and execution.
Walt can handle master planning and civil engineering projects but he can also do sitework, like tear down a house, install a parking lot, or dig a pond on your property.
Diana Munoz Will and I hired him to paint our house and add a quintessential Fruit & Nut District from porch, just in time for cooler fall weather.
With BES, there’s literally no job too large or too small. Give him a call today on his cell at 251-422-5676 and be sure to visit their website - http://besdesignbuild.com/.
